She performed at the Wintergarten in Berlin and at Covent Garden, England.

And yes, she must make an appearance in an SH fic. MAYBE HE CAN RECOVER HER STOLEN BAND OF DIAMONDS!

YES. She's going to star in my next installment of my Genderbent Sherlock Holmes series ... The Adventure of The Diva's Gems. ♥ I plotted it out last night. (RPF in SH pastiches is a tradition anyway. :D

Oh wow--she's absolutely beautiful. It's sad that I grew up listening to opera, and while I knew about Marian Anderson, Leontyne Price, and Grace Bumbry, I'd never heard of Sissieretta Jones.

I went looking for recordings last night, was unlucky. Very unfortunate she retired so early, she was the cusp of recording technology. :(
