I started the 3W4DW fest on this community with a female Olympic heptathlete, so it seems appropriate to finish with one as well. I'm going to keep trying to post to this community on a daily basis, with exceptions on the days when other people post. If anyone has an objection to this plan, let me know. I don't know how they do it either. It's hard enough for me to contemplate being an Olympic-level athlete at one track-and-field event, let alone seven.

Now, about this post specifically: Man, she's pretty. And the pictures of her in spandex have me thinking about comicbook women and mental notes for fixing up my own art.

She is pretty! I remember there was such a kerfuffle about her wearing makeup and nail extensions while she was competing in the Olympics. I believe people tried to claim it was "distracting"(?!). What's sad is that I think the perception that female athletes cannot be feminine still hasn't gone away. Victoria Pendleton (British Olympic cyclist, sexy lady) had to develop extremely thick skin to be taken seriously as an athlete.

I've loved your posts! I rarely have time to comment because generally I'm surfing my reading page at work, but I adore seeing the pictures, even if I only have a second for a glance.
